I have been invited to participate on a panel to discuss, “September 11, 2001 Terrorist Attacks: Duties of Corporate Directors and Officers in the Preparation and Execution of Disaster Avoidance and Recovery”. This event is being sponsored by the Tort Trial and Insurance Practice Section (TIPS) of the American Bar Association (ABA) and is scheduled for September 16, 12:00 – 1:30 pm edt (3:00 – 4:30 pm pdt).
I will be joined on the panel by, Richard Allyn – Partner, Robins, Kaplan, Miller, & Ciresi LLP; Kevin W. DeVore – Partner Larson King, LLP; and Neil B. Posner – Partner, Much Shelist . The session will be facilitated by Perry Granof – Of Counsel at Williams Castner.
I am having a great time preparing for this session with these gentlemen and am discovering a new perspective of this topic from the Legal and Insurance Coverage point of view.
I think it is about time that we start joining the subject matter experts from these various fields in a coordinated and cohesive discussion of business continuity, disaster recovery and crisis management related issues and I look forward to what I am sure will be an educational and interesting teleconference.
I invite all of you to join us if you can.
